Light-Up Thanksgiving Lantern Workshop

Monday, November 23 | 9:30–11:00 AM | Ages 6-12

Cost: $30 | 90 minutes

Looking for something fun and creative for your child to do over Thanksgiving break—and a little holiday breather for yourself? Join us for a festive morning of hands-on crafting!

Kids will create a one-of-a-kind light-up Thanksgiving lantern using colorful tissue paper, easy-to-attach foam stickers, ribbons, buttons, gems, pom-poms and other festive fall decorations. Children can choose from turkeys, pumpkins, leaves, sunflowers and other seasonal designs to make their lantern completely their own.

Once the decorating is finished, battery-operated lights will be added to bring each creation to life with a warm holiday glow. The finished lantern can be displayed as a Thanksgiving decoration or used as a special centerpiece for the family table.

This paint-free project encourages imagination, fine motor skills, creative thinking and personal expression. All materials and battery-operated lights are included, and every child will leave with a glowing Thanksgiving creation they’ll be proud to display!
